The belairdirect Scholarship Program
This year, Belair Insurance Company Inc. (belairdirect) will award 50 scholarships each valued at $1,000, to students completing high school in 2024 and will attend a post-secondary educational institution in Canada in the fall of 2024.
With a belairdirect scholarship behind you, you have everything in front of you.
Who May Apply
To apply, applicants must be:
- A resident of a province or territory of Canada;
- Completing high school in 2024; and
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program on a full-time basis for the 2024-2025 academic year at a recognized publicly funded Canadian post-secondary institution or CEGEP (if living in the province of Quebec).
Applicants must also fall into at least one of the following categories:
- Be a member or employee of a belairdirect recognized group* who has a home or car insurance policy with belairdirect;
- Be a member or employee of a belairdirect recognized group* (policy not required);
- Have a parent/guardian or grandparent who is a member or employee of a belairdirect recognized group* who has a home or car insurance policy with belairdirect; OR
- Have a parent/guardian or grandparent who is a member or employee of a belairdirect recognized group* (policy not required).
*A “recognized group” means an employer group, professional association, alumni association, union or other group that has an insurance program agreement currently in force with belairdirect.
Online Application Form
A completed application must be submitted by July 31, 2024 and must include a transcript for the period of September 2022 to April 2024.

Selection of Winners
Applicants will be evaluated based on three components:
- Academic achievement (academic average and academic awards)
- Volunteer/community involvement and/or extracurricular activities; and
- Quality and relevance of the personal statement

Scholarship Partners Canada, a division of Universities Canada, has been retained to administer the scholarship program on behalf of belairdirect. Please note that the decision of the Selection committee is final and not subject to appeal.
