1. Why is Johnson launching a new mobile app?
Johnson is committed to providing excellent customer service and are pleased to provide customers with one more avenue through which they may choose to interact with us. The mobile app is a new, easy way for customers to receive important claims information and assistance, and it provides a convenient way for them to provide us with accurate claims information. It is part of our growing line of customer resources and represents our commitment to industry-leading service.

2. Who are you targeting with this new feature?
Existing Johnson customers are the primary target audience of this product; potential customers are the secondary target.

3. Why would an insurance company want to encourage use of a mobile app?
The mobile app provides customers with the information they need, right when they need it most. It provides useful advice for what to do at the time of an accident, provides a quick way to collect critical claim information, provides an easy and convenient way to report claims, and enables customers to quickly access useful numbers of services and locations. In addition, customers can find practical and timely safety tips and podcasts to help prevent loss. The app is one more way that Johnson is working to help and protect our customers.

4. How does it work?
The mobile app will feature Claims advice and information, as well as safety tips and podcasts. It will provide the user with the ability to document the scene of an accident or home loss in real time, to add photos relevant to the claim, and email the report to a Johnson claims representative.

5. How quickly will a customer receive a response to their claim using this method?
Severe claims should always be reported via phone. For Claims submitted via the mobile app, a Johnson representative will review your claim and contact you at the phone number provided in your email form within two hours of receiving your claim.

6. Will customers have to pay to access the app?
No - the application will be free to download! Even if you are not insured by Johnson, the app will still give you access to helpful information. However, to take full advantage of the app's features, you will need to be a Johnson customer.

7. Will I need my policy information to use the app?
No, but we do strongly recommend that you program your policy information into the profile section of the app so that it's handy in the case of an accident. This will ensure that you are able to provide Johnson with the most accurate information about your home or vehicle in the event of an accident, enabling us to service you better and faster.
You will also need to have an active email account setup on your iPhone in order to submit claims using the app.

8. Will the app be available for other devices besides the iPhone?
Yes, there will be a Blackberry and Android version of the app available early 2011.

9. Is the app iPod Touch and iPad compatible?
No - as the app requires a camera, telephone, and GPS installation is currently unavailable on these devices.

10. Is the app available in both English and French?
Yes, the app will be available in both languages.
