Dig out those gardening gloves and hit the dirt! But before you do, make sure your landscaping plan includes non-toxic plants that are safe for humans and pets. We asked gardening expert Angela VanZyverden, co-owner of VanVugt Greenhouses in Owen Sound, Ontario to give us the lowdown on plants and fertilizers that could be dangerous and provide us with safe (and still beautiful) alternatives. 

Now that you know the in’s and out’s of some of the most common garden plants, you can go ahead and start planting, knowing you, your family, and your pets will be safe from harm.
