Today, we are pleased to announce that Johnson Inc. (“Johnson”) was acquired by Intact Financial Corporation, the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada and a leading provider of specialty insurance in North America.

No action is required by you at this time. Your insurance coverage, and payments will remain the same. Johnson will continue to provide you with the same great service you know and trust.

When was RSA/Johnson Insurance bought?

Intact Financial Corporation and Danish business Tryg offered to buy RSA Insurance Group plc last year. This offer was accepted by RSA’s shareholders in January 2021 and following receipt of relevant regulatory and other approvals the transaction has now been completed and the ownership of RSA’s businesses has changed as described below.

I’m in the middle of a claim or need to start a new claim, what should I do?

Our claims process is unchanged by this new ownership. We will continue to assess your claim and we will be in touch with you as normal.

What changes can I expect?

Let us assure you that nothing has changed. You can expect the same great service you are accustomed to and there is no action required by you at this time. Your insurance coverage, payments and service will remain the same.

Who should I contact for questions about my policy or coverage?

There is no change for any of our customers. This deal is a change of ownership for RSA and therefore a new parent company. Our operations and brands are working as usual and our contact points, products and claims processes remain the same.

If I’m about to renew, what will happen?

There is no change to your renewal process. You will receive your renewal through your regular channel. We will be able to continue to support your evolving insurance needs, and to be the insurance partner you can count on.
