1. What is Johnson announcing?

Johnson is coming together with belairdirect, a proud Canadian insurance provider, to offer you an even more seamless customer experience. Starting fall 2023, the car and home division of Johnson Insurance will gradually rebrand to belairdirect. The rebranding of the Group Benefits and Travel divisions will happen in the future.  
 

2. As a customer of Johnson, what does this mean for me? When can I expect to see these changes?

Good news: you don’t need to take any action! Your existing policy with Johnson Insurance remains in effect, and you can continue to count on the same dedicated and trusted team of local insurance professionals to be here for you. We’ll be in touch to share more details on what this means for you and all the exclusive affinity benefits you can come to expect, including access to new digital tools and services.  
 

3. I’m in the middle of a claim or need to start a new claim, what should I do?

Our claims process is unchanged by this announcement. We will continue to assess your claim and we will be in touch with you as normal.  
 

4. Who should I contact for questions about my policy or if I need to make a change?

Customers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the territories

1. Does belairdirect offer insurance in my province?

belairdirect is available in most Canadian provinces, but does not offer insurance in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, or the territories.

2. What does this mean for customers in unsupported provinces?

For customers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the territories, Johnson Insurance will continue to provide insurance services until your upcoming policy expiration date. After that date, your insurance policy will no longer be provided through Johnson Insurance and will be issued by BrokerLink.

3. What happens after my policy expiry date?

Your insurance policy will no longer be provided through Johnson Insurance after your upcoming policy expiration date.  Before that date, your new policy documents will be issued by BrokerLink. You will be served by professional insurance advisors who will provide you with the expert advice and service you have come to expect. If BrokerLink can’t issue a policy, you will be notified.

4. Do I need to do anything before my policy expiry date?

To ensure a smooth transition, Johnson Insurance will transfer your insurance policy information to BrokerLink. BrokerLink may contact you for additional information to find a new insurance company to meet your needs. If you have any questions about the transfer of your information to BrokerLink, please contact our Privacy office at [email protected].

5. Who should I contact for questions about my policy or if I need to make a change?
