Online Quote Terms of Use

This tool is intended for new Johnson Inc. (“Johnson”) customers only. The initial price provided is not a guaranteed amount: it is conditional to your qualification under Unifund's underwriting standards and it is based on the information you have provided as well as certain assumptions and preselected values used for the purpose of providing a time-efficient quote. These can be modified to reflect your unique situation and to provide you with a more accurate quote.

A certain number of factors are not taken into consideration by this tool to determine the accuracy of your premium or your qualification under Unifund's underwriting standards. As a result, additional information will be required from you by our Johnson certified insurance brokers over the phone. This may lead to variances in your coverage or an adjustment in your premium.

In certain circumstances, and notwithstanding the fact that you are provided with a price by the tool, we may not be able to insure you (in whole or in part) or your premium may be adjusted. For example, if:

For automobile insurance policies

• The principal driver of the vehicle has a G1 licence;
• Your driver's licence has been suspended or revoked in the last 20 years;
• Your insurance policy, or that of any driver listed on your policy, has been cancelled in the last 3 years;
• You have had 3 or more (i) comprehensive claims (except for glass claims; or (ii) glass claims; or (iii) hit and run claims, in the last 3 years
• Modifications have been made to your vehicle for speed, racing, alternate/converted fuel systems, suspension raised or lowered.  

For home, condo and tenant insurance policies

• You or anyone in your household has been refused coverage or had a home, condo or tenants insurance policy cancelled in the last 3 years;
• You’ve had more than 1 claim in the past 4 years;
• There are boarders or renters in your home;
• The home is heated by oil or wood; has Poly B plumbing or 60 Amp service;
• The home is not well maintained or vacant;
• Commercial or business activities (including a daycare operation) taking place on the premises
• Personal belongings that require special rates;

Questions relating to these and other scenarios will be asked by our Johnson certified insurance brokers to confirm we can insure you according to our underwriting rules and to assess the insurance risk, as the case may be.

Coverage, limits and deductibles

For your convenience, coverage, limits and deductibles have been preselected. These preselected options may not suit your needs. If you would like to change these options, they can be customized over the phone with a Johnson certified insurance broker. Changing your coverage, limits or deductibles may affect your premium. The basic coverage summary that appears on the tool is provided to you for informational purposes only. Your insurance contract prevails at all times; please consult it for a complete description of coverage and exclusions.

To proceed with your quote

To proceed with your quote, you must contact one of our Johnson certified insurance brokers at the telephone number shown. Further information will be required, and your premium may be adjusted. The premium quoted by the broker will supersede the premium provided online. Conditions apply to the monthly payment option shown.

Use of personal information

Your personal information will be collected and used to provide you with car and home insurance quotes and for the purpose of creating a profile in your name. For more details, please see our Privacy Promise.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files sent to the Internet browser when a user visits an Internet site. Cookies record information on the visitors or on the pages visited.

Johnson uses cookies for your convenience in order to facilitate your future visits. They do not contain or transmit any personal information.

To access our tool, you must allow our server to save a cookie on your device. When you leave the tool, this file will be deleted automatically. If you deactivate this option on your Internet browser, you will be unable to obtain a quote or to purchase an insurance policy via the Internet.

Also, Johnson has retained the services of a specialized firm to help us evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising and to determine the behaviour of visitors on our tool. To this end, Johnson uses Internet tags and cookies provided by this firm and added to the web pages. We gather only information pertaining to your behaviour on our tool, for example which pages you visit; no personal information is gathered.
